Mays Landing native Joanna Coe continued to play well in her Symetra Tour professional golf debut on Saturday, making the cut by shooting a 1-over-par 73 in the second round of the Florida’s Natural Charity Classic.
The 22-year-old is tied for 35th place and is nine shots behind leader Megan McChrystal, but she is only four shots behind being tied for sixth place.
“Being consistent! Shot 73 again. Not making much at all on the greens but at least I made my first Symetra tour cut and moved up the leaderboard! I feel a low round tomorrow,” Coe posted on her Facebook page Saturday night.
The final round begins today at 8 a.m. at the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club in Winter Haven, Fla.
