Somers Point golfer Harry Scott, 78, is trying to play 50 courses in 50 states in 50 days. The Press has been checking in with Scott for daily updates on his ongoing odyssey.

Day: 43

City: Logan, Utah

Course played: Logan Golf and Country Club (5,786 yards, par 71)

About the course: Scott said the course was in an upscale neighborhood and was in terrific shape. The course was not really long, but each hole was an adventure.

Whom he played with: An accomplished golfer named Steve planned to spend his lunch break from work playing the first nine holes with Scott, but Steve made it just four holes before getting a text message from his boss to come back early.

Place he started and finished for the day: Scott got to Ogden, Utah, at 1 a.m. Tuesday and left to play golf at 6 a.m. He had to change his plans due to a tournament being held at the Birch Creek Golf Club, even though he had made a tee time with the club. Scott traveled to the neighboring town of Logan to play. After his round, he traveled to Jerome, Idaho, to spend the night.

Harry's highlights: Scott said Nos. 10 and 18 were among the more challenging holes, and he got pars on both. He has only 126 holes of golf left on his trip.

What's next: Scott will play in Twin Falls, Idaho, at Canyon Springs Golf Club. He then will travel 488 miles to Carson City, Nev.
