LOUIS CORGLIANO, Junior, Hammonton boys cross country
Corgliano won the boys junior class 3,200-meter race Saturday at the 17th annual Cherokee Challenge. He finished first in a pack of 346 runners with the fastest local time of the day, 9 minutes, 40 seconds. Corgliano, who pulled away from the pack at the start of the second mile, finished eight seconds ahead of the No. 2 finisher, Tatnall (De.) runner Jack Hagood.
DANIELLE McCANN, Junior, Middle Township girls soccer
McCann scored her 50th career goal during a 3-0 win over St. Joseph on September 11. McCann, who has 56 career goals, is now second all-time in scoring for the Panthers with just under two seasons left to play. Tara Davies, a 2006 graduate, finished with 104 goals.
