Casaletto won his second straight District 24 and Region 6 titles before going on to finish second in the state to earn Press Wrestler of the Year honors. After losing two matches at the season-opening Beast of the East, Casaletto win 27 straight matches before losing in the state final.

103 Billy Ward

Buena Regional,

Fr. (30-6)

Ward had a successful rookie campaign with a 30-win season to go along with District 32 and Region 8 titles. Ward was Buena's first region champ since 2004.

119 Joe Esposito

St. Augustine Prep, So. (27-11)

Esposito qualified for states for the second time in as many years with a second-place finish in District 32 and Region 8. Won two matches at states and finished one win short of placing.

125 Bubba Lanno

Southern Regional,

Jr. (28-7)

Finished second in District 24 and Region 6 and was one win short of placing at states. Had a big Friday night at Boardwalk Hall, which included two wins, one over Region 5 champ Ray Delanuez of Edison.

130 Joe Devone

St. Augustine Prep, Jr. (18-13)

Won the District 32 tournament in dramatic fashion, finishing off a takedown on Oakcrest's Pedro Benitez as time wound down in the third period. Helped the Prep to the Cape-Atlantic League National Conference title.

135 John Harvey

Absegami, Sr. (32-9)

Harvey won his third District 32 title and his first Region 8 title and went on to finish sixth in the state. Won his 100th career match on the first night of the state tournament.

140 Mike Bakuckas


Jr. (36-2)

Bakuckas started the season with 35 straight wins with his first loss coming to eventual state champ Hank Stinson of Eastern in the state semifinals. Became the third state placewinner in school history with a fourth-place finish at Boardwalk Hall.

145 Shane Robinson

Absegami, Sr. (35-6)

Robinson finished fifth in the state after winning his second straight District 32 title and his first Region 8 title. Won his 100th match at the state tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

152 Jeff McElwee

Southern Regional, Jr. (18-12)

After finishing second as a sophomore, McElwee won the District 24 title in impressive fashion with a second-period pin in the finals.

160 Jeff White

Middle Township,

Jr. (29-3)

White was named Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Region 8 tournament after becoming the first region champ in school history. White was also the District 32 champ.

171 Zach Agostino

Egg Harbor Township, Sr. (36-5)

Agostino finishes as the school's all-time wins leader with 133 career victories. Agostino, who will wrestle at of Penn next season, became the school's first four-time District 32 champ, won his second straight Region 8 title and went on to finish seventh in the state.

189 Cliff Farrell

Mainland Regional, Jr. (33-4)

Farrell won the District 32 title and was only the second wrestler in school history to win a region title.

215 Mahalo Camba

Cumberland Regional, Sr. (25-0)

Camba won the Tri-County Conference title and his third straight District 31 title, but missed regions and states after injuring his knee in the district final.

285 Chaz Lear

Lower Cape May Regional, Sr. (31-2)

Lear won the District 32 and Region 8 titles with his 100th win coming in the region finals. Won his first 29 matches of the season, finished seventh in the state.
