Player of the Year
Connor Hurff
St. Augustine Prep, Sr., Forward
The Press Player of the Year led the Hermits to the Cape-Atlantic League American Conference, South Jersey Coaches Tournament and South Jersey and state Non-Public A titles with a team-high 25 goals.
Graham Deever
Middle Township, Sr., Forward
Scored a team-high 16 goals and netted four game-winners. Led the Panthers to the Cape-Atlantic League National Conference Division I title.
Nick Gazzara
Sacred Heart, Sr., Forward
Led the area with 42 goals and led the Lions to the CAL National Conference title. Gazzara's 42 goals tied Sacred Heart head coach Mario Monfardini and Vineland grad Jim Connor as the sixth best single-season total in CAL history.
Dom Pernice
St. Augustine Prep, Sr., Forward
Pernice complemented Hurff nicely on the Prep's front line and finished the season with seven goals. Scored in three of the team's four playoff games and would have been the focal point of most offenses in the area.
Bernie Somers
Egg Harbor Township, Sr., Forward
One of the fastest players in the CAL, Somers scored eight goals and helped the Eagles to one of the best seasons in school history.
Neaton Thompson
Bridgeton, Jr., Forward
The athletic forward got off to a fast start this season as he scored eight goals in the team's first five games and finished with a team-high 13 goals.
Joe Auleta
Hammonton, Sr., Halfback
Scored in three of the team's four South Jersey Group III playoff games and finished with a team-high 10 goals as the Blue Devils won the first sectional title in school history.
Christian Gill
St. Augustine Prep, Sr., Halfback
Gill had a knack for scoring big goals this season. Nine of his 11 goals were game-winners for the Hermits.
Thomas Nowlan
Hammonton, Sr., Halfback
Finished the season with nine goals and controlled play in the midfield. Combined with Joe Auleta to form one of the area's top midfields.
Dan Ratyniak
Lacey Township, Sr., Halfback
A dynamic player in the middle of the field, Ratyniak led the Lions with 16 goals and nine assists.
Jason Schwab
Mainland Regional, Sr.
Halfback Scored game-winning goals against rival Ocean City, Oakcrest and Millville and finished second on the team with six goals.
Eucario Solano
Absegami, Sr., Halfback
Solano did a little bit of everything for the Braves. Finished with nine goals and three game-winners while doing a solid job defensively in the midfield.
Kyle Stanford
Middle Township, Jr.
Halfback More than capable of pushing forward from his spot in the midfield, Stanford scored 14 goals this season and combined with Graham Deever to form one of the top scoring duos in the CAL.
Jaryd Aulfo
Sacred Heart, Sr., Fullback
The captain of the defense from his sweeper position, Aulfo was the leader of one of the CAL top defenses.
Patrick Bik
Sacred Heart, Sr., Fullback
Bik typically had the unenviable task of marking the opposing team's top player and took his fair share of players out of their game.
Brolin Cruz
Absegami, Jr., Fullback
An injury forced Cruz from the midfield back to sweeper where he flourished and quickly became the leader of the defense.
Josh Edgar
Vineland, Sr., Fullback
A gritty defender not known to shy away from contact, Edgar frustrated opposing strikers.
Sam Vessels
St. Augustine Prep., Sr., Fullback
Vessels was the quarterback of the team's defense. Was dominant in taking Pingry, one of the top offenses in the state, out of their game in the Prep's State Non-Public A title game.
Damien Irons
Southern Regional, Sr., Goalkeeper
Irons had six shutouts and was the key to the Rams allowing only 20 goals all season, the second lowest total in school history.
John Richards
St. Augustine Prep, Sr., Goalkeeper
Name a CAL goalkeeping record and Richards likely broke it this season. Set the career wins record (61) as well as the record for wins (25) and shutouts (20) in a season.
