Darren Ford (Vineland) of the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners) was 4-for-5 with one run and one RBI on Friday in a 7-4 loss to the Salt Lake Bees (Angels) in a triple-A Pacific Coast League game. In 17 games, Ford is hitting .360 with nine RBIs, 10 runs and nine stolen bases.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts as the Daytona Cubs beat the Dunedin Blue Jays 5-1 on Friday in the Advanced-A Florida State League. Szczur is batting .273 in 52 games.

Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep) of the Eugene Emeralds (Padres) was 0-for-1 with a walk and an RBI in a 4-2 loss Friday to the Everett AquaSox in the short-season Class A Northwest League. Colon is hitting .100 in nine games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) of Everett did not pitch against Eugene. DeCecco is 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA in five games.
