The Braves have won the Cape-Atlantic League American Division three years in a row. The girls went undefeated (8-0) for their third straight season. The team also improved this year and finished second at CALS, to perennial powerhouse Holy Spirit, after placing fourth in 2009. Hutchings, has been coaching the Braves for 18 years. She is 120-75 and received her 100th win against . This is the first year Absegami has ever had three girls, Bridget Pfeifer, Katie Juniewicz and Maggie Axelrod, make the CAL All-Star First Team.

"This is one of the best seasons we've had together as a team," Hutchings said. "I have great girls and they all worked really hard and I give them the majority of the credit for everything. Especially the seniors, they got practices together in the summer, which got the girls ready for fall. We have great parental support from our parents and I give them a lot of credit for doing what they do. I just have an outstanding group of girls this year."
