Atlantic Christian School’s Carl Phillips pitched a no-hitter in a Tri-State Christian Athletic Conference playoff semifinal Thursday as the host Cougars baseball team beat Pilgrim Academy 10-0 in five innings. Phillips walked two and struck out eight.

Atlantic Christian (13-0) will play the winner between Cumberland Christian and Gloucester Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cumberland Christian for the TRCAC championship.

Also for Atlantic Christian, Ryan Lomangino hit a two-run inside the park home run and had three RBIs. Solomon Griffith added two doubles, a run and an RBI, while Luke Johnson added a triple and two runs, and Ian Iaconelli had two hits.

Atlantic Christian’s Dakota Hitchner struck out nine to get the win, went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs in the Tri-State Christian Athletic Conference playoff semifinal game. Shannon Murphy ended the game for the host Cougars in the fifth inning with a two-run single.

Atlantic Christian will play for the TSCAC championship on Saturday.

Also for the Cougars, Emily Kelley had a triple and two RBIs, and Abigail Vogel added a double and two RBIs. For Pilgrim, Annalise Lopresti was 2 for 3 with a triple, a homer and four RBIs.
