Darren Ford (Vineland) was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI, one run , one strikeout and one stolen base Sunday as the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners) beat the Salt Lake Bees 14-9 in a triple-A Pacific Coast League game. Ford went 2-for-5 with two runs, a triple, an RBI and a stolen base Saturday in a 13-5 win over Salt Lake. Ford is hitting .365 with 11 RBIs, 12 runs and 11 stolen bases in 19 games.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-1 with a run, three walks and two stolen bases in the Daytona Cubs’ 5-2 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers in the Advanced-A Florida State League. Szczur is batting .271 with 56 runs scored and 28 stolen bases in 53 games.

Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep) went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts as the the Eugene Emeralds (Padres) lost 17-2 to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in a short-season Class A Northwest League game. He did not play Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Volcanoes. Colon is hitting .091 in 10 games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) did not pitch Sunday as the Everett AquaSox lost 10-6 to the Vancouver Canadians in a short-season Class A Northwest League game. DeCecco went 31/3 shutout innings with two walks and two strikeouts in a 4-2 loss Saturday to the Canadians. DeCecco is 0-1 with a 2.92 ERA, eight walks and 10 strikeouts in six games.
