Mike Trout of Millville is a rookie outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was The Press Player of the Year that season.

Sunday: Trout went 2-for-7 in a day-night doubleheader split with the Texas Rangers on Sunday. He went 2-for-4 in the first game, hitting his 30th home run and stealing his league-leading 48th base of the season, and went 0-for-3 with a pair of walks in the second game.
