Mike Trout update

Mike Trout of Millville is a rookie outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels. Trout, 20, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was The Press Player of the Year that season.

Monday: Trout was scratched from the lineup with a bruised right pinky finger as the Angels traveled to Cleveland to open a series with the Indians. Trout, who leads the American League in batting with a .339 average, was replaced in the lineup by Peter Bourjos.
