The unbeaten Lacey Township High School football team, ranked third in The Press Elite 11, scored four touchdowns in the first quarter and went on to beat host Brick Memorial 42-0 on Saturday.

Lacey flanker Christian Tutela scored two rushing touchdowns on end sweeps and caught one of sophomore quarterback Connor Davies’ three TD passes.

Tutela opened the scoring with a 64-yard run with less than two minutes gone in the game. R.J. Kurtz caught a 31-yard scoring pass from Davies. Lacey scored again when strong safety Chris Jensen forced a Brick Memorial fumble, picked it up and ran 10 yards for a touchdown. The Lions went up 28-0 when Tutela ran a 10-yard sweep around right end for a touchdown.

Lacey recovered a fumble at the Brick 14 yard line in the second quarter. Lions running back Kyle Spatz took the ball to the 1-foot line. But Brick held until Davies tossed a 1-yard TD pass to Tutela on the right side on fourth down.
