One thing is certain for the Pinelands Regional High School girls basketball team - the work ethic of the Wildcats is unquestionable.

"We're going to outwork a lot of teams," coach Keith Lowe said. "We won't be intimidated by anyone."

Pinelands must replace a few key players lost to graduation, but many of this year's contributors saw minutes last season.

Lowe hopes the year of experience will give some of his upcoming players an advantage.

"We were competitive last year, but I'd like to be up a notch from that," he said.

Leading the Wildcats' offensively is senior guard Elisha Hartman, whom Lowe called an athletic shooter.

"She'll be our go-to to get points, especially in transition," Lowe said.

Pinelands will also look to Laura Dewey, who ended last season with five straight double-double performances, and junior point guard Bailey Kidd.

From what he's seen so far, Lowe is pleased with how his players have come together as a team.

"Our team unity and chemistry is what will carry us," he said.
