Cape May County Tech pulled off an upset, beating Buena Regional 3-2 Monday afternoon in Cape-Atlantic League play.

The two teams overcame sloppy conditions on a rain-soaked field in Cape May.

Jake Johnson scored twice, once in each half, for the Hawks. His second goal 22 minutes into the second half proved to be the difference-maker.

The Hawks led, 2-0, at halftime thanks to Johnson's first goal and an own goal by the Chiefs. Johnson's goal was assisted by Jake Rutledge.

Buena cut the lead in the second half thanks to Luis Rivera's goal. Johnson extended the lead to 3-1 before Eliso Ramales scored Buena's second goal.

Robert Edmunds made 11 saves for the Hawks, out-dueling Buena's Jake Bleyhl, who made eight stops.
