The Cedar Creek girls volleyball team, which just began its varsity program this year, got its first win against Pleasantville 2-1 on Tuesday.

Cedar Creek lost the first game 21-25, but won the second game 25-15 and the third 25-10. Mia Negron had six aces and Bethany Opie had three while Katie Nelson had four kills and Fatimah Black well had six kills and one block.

Pleasantville's Stephanie Jorge had eight kills and seven assists, Maria Mercedes had nine service points and five assists and Gissela Sosa-Henriquez had 12 digs. Cedar Creek's record is now 1-3 and Pleasantville is 0-4.
