Oakcrest High School defeated St. Joseph 2-1 in a Cape-Atlantic League girls volleyball match Thursday.
The game scores were 25-23, 17-25 and 25-17.
Erin Thompson had six aces and three kills to lead Oakcrest (3-1). Stephanie Howard had nine kills, Maria Cruz added three aces and Tatiyana Cosme had three kills and three blocks.
For St. Joseph (2-4), Dana DiRenzo had three kills, 14 digs, four blocks and two aces. Samantha Wetzel added six kills, seven digs, one block and one ace. Anna Waters contributed five kills, seven digs and three aces.
