The Ridge High School girls volleyball team beat visiting Absegami 2-0 in a state Group IV first-round match in Watchung Hills. The scores were 25-8 and 25-13.
For 25th-seeded Absegami, senior outside hitter Erika Hernandez had three kills and four digs, while senior libero Christine Lam added five digs, and sophomore setter Dionise Ko had eights assists. Ridge is the eighth seed.
