Hammonton baseball used its pitching on Saturday to come away with a pair of wins in its Blue Devil Invitational.

The host Blue Devils allowed just one hit in both games combined, beating Triton Regional 7-0 and Overbrook 11-0. Hammonton's Anthony Cruz was named the tournament MVP with two home runs and six RBIs on the day.

Against Triton, Steve Cahill pitched a one-hitter, allowing one walk and striking out six. D.J. Maimone went 2-for-3 and Justin Smith had two RBIs.

John Maimone took the mound against Overbrook, pitching five innings of no-hit ball in his first varsity start. He allowed just one walk, striking out six.

Cruz hit a pair of home runs in the game, and Smith also homered. Hammonton is No. 11 in The Press Elite 11.
