The Sacred Heart High School softball team, ranked fourth in The Press Elite 11, beat visiting Gloucester Catholic 2-0 Friday in a non-league game. The Lions scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Danielle Lugo went 2-for-3 with a run for Sacred Heart (23-30 and started the rally in the sixth wih a single. Samantha Caterina followed with a single. Gabby Castellini hit into a force play, and Kaila Smith singled in Lugo to make it 1-0. Lindsay Dwyer singled in Castellini.

Winning pitcher Rosie LaGrotta gave up three hits, struck out one and walked one
