Jaylen Freeman scored 17 points to help Middle Township High School defeat Burlington City 43-42 in overtime in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday.

The Panthers trailed the Blue Devils by seven points after the first quarter but pulled within one point at the half. Middle then outscored Burlington City 19-18 in the second half to force overtime.

DaSean Lopez and Coley Holton both scored eight for the Panthers. Mac Selby and Cam Hamer added four each.

The Blue Devils' D'Andre Thurmond had a game-leading 20 points.

Middle scored five points in overtime to hand Burlington City its second loss on the season. The Panthers improved to 7-4.
