Buena Regional High School's Trayvond Barbary reached 1,000 career points, but the Millville boys basketball team topped the visiting Chiefs 74-38 on Friday. Barbary needed 13 points to reach 1,000, and did that in the second quarter.

Barbary, a 6-foot-4 senior forward, scored a game-high 19 points, and now has 1,006 career points.

"I was really surprised because I didn't know how many (career) points I had," said Barbary, a 17-year-old Buena resident. "No one told me, but my parents knew. It feels really good to have 1,000 points. It would feel better if we got the win or if the score was closer."

Roverto Rivera and Bishop Evans led Millville with 12 points each. Khaliq Ford added 11 points and Paris Patterson scored 10 for the Thunderbolts.
