A 21-year-old record fell as Mainland Regional High School, No. 6 in The Press Elite 11, defeated visiting Millville 142-37 Monday in a Cape-Atlantic League boys swimming meet.
Steve Buzby, John Brennan, Chris McClintock and Nolan Coyle teamed up to win the 400-meter freestyle relay in a school-record 3 minutes, 44.37 seconds. Mustangs coach Brian Booth said the old record of 3:47 was set in 1991 by the foursome of Tom Kearsley, Mike Hamilton, Joe Youngblood and Greg Schneider.
Buzby, Brennan, McClintock and Coyle also won the 200 freestyle relay for Mainland (10-1).
