Nine different players scored for top-seeded Ocean City High School in a 55-23 rout of visiting and No. 16 seed Hammonton in the opening round of the South Jersey Group III girls basketball tournament Tuesday.

Julia Duggan led the Red Raiders, ranked No. 10 in The Press Elite 11, with 14 points. Natalie Landi had 10. Ocean City outscored Hammonton 33-6 in the first half.

For Hammonton, Pagie Mortellite posted a game-high 17 points, including three 3-pointers. Mortellite was 6-for-7 from the foul line.

Ocean City, which reached the semifinals of the sectional tournament last year, will host No. 8 seed Winslow Township at 6 p.m. Thursday in a quarterfinal match up.
