The Ocean City High School girls swimming team beat visiting Our Lady of Mercy Academy 119-48 Wednesday and clinched its third straight Cape-Atlantic League National Conference title. The Red Raiders, ranked seventh in The Press Elite 11, are 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

O.C.'s Melanie Wilezol won the 100-meter butterfly and the 100 backstroke and had two relay wins. Teammate Aly Chain won the 200 freestyle and also added two relay wins. Sister Rachel Chain had two relay victories and a win in the 100 freestyle.

"The girls talked about how they wanted to win conference title again this year," said Katie Merz, Ocean City's first-year coach. "There's a lot of the season left to go."
