Soccer: Hammonton girls fall in South Jersey semifinal

Moorestown High School came from behind in the second half to beat host Hammonton 2-1 in a South Jersey Group III semifinal girls soccer game Wednesday.

Jill DiBlasi scored in the first half to give top-seeded Hammonton the lead at halftime.

But Moorestown, the fourth seed, tied it when Marie McCool's corner kick deflected off a defender and into the goal with 15 minutes left in regulation.

Then, with less than three minutes remaining, Megan Kelly scored her sixth goal of the season to send the Quakers to the final.

Hammonton 1 0-1

Lendee Henry led Trenton Catholic with a goal and an assist. Lorenzo Tucker and Charles Wheaton each added a goal for the Iron Mikes.
