A list of the hot topics, teams, athletes and issues in high school sports this week.

1. Egg Harbor Township softball: The Eagles (6-0) got a big 9-0 win over Washington Township on Wednesday.

2. Buddy Kennedy: The Millville High School senior got career hit No. 100 with a triple in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Kingsway Regional.

3. Mahogany Wheeler: The Millville freshman softball standout has hit six home runs this season.

4. Mainland Regional girls track and field: The Mustangs (5-0) have wins over Ocean City, Absegami, Millville, Atlantic City and Vineland.

5. Steve Brown: Mainland Regional named its new varsity eight boat in honor of Brown, who coached crew at Mainland, Holy Spirit and Atlantic City. Brown is an Atlantic City vice principal.

6. Isaih Pacheco: In his first high school baseball season, the Vineland junior is batting .571 (12 for 26) with seven RBIs and four doubles.

7. St. Augustine baseball: Hermits improved to 7-1 with a 9-6 win over Kingsway Regional on Thursday.

8. Drue Nicholas: The St. Augustine freshman won the prestigious Galloway Challenge golf tournament Tuesday.

9. Caitlin McMullan: The Wildwood Catholic senior scored 14 points in the All-Star Labor Classic basketball game at Philadelphia University earlier this month.

10. Southern Regional golf: The Rams won the Ocean County championship for the fourth straight year.
