Northfield defeated Greater Wildwood 13-2 in four innings due to the mercy rule in the District 16 softball tournament for 11-12-year-olds Tuesday.
Bailey Arena was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, and Samantha Morton had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice.
Olivia Goff, Jillian McCarthy and Arena combined for a one-hitter with nine strikeouts.
For Greater Wildwood, Doddie Rosali had a hit and Noelle Johnson reached base twice and scored a run.
Northfield advanced to the winners’ bracket final Sat-urday at 7 p.m. against Hammonton in Somers Point.
Hammonton 24, Somers Point 0: Maddie Emmons and Madi Guyer combined for a two-hit, four-inning shutout with 10 strikeouts.
All 11 girls for Hammonton reached base and scored at least once.
