The crew of Jeff Garbutt and Tom Sher won the Brennan McCann Seven-Mile Row on Saturday morning at Seaview Harbor beach in Egg Harbor Township in 1 hour, 2 minutes, 12 seconds. Garbutt, an Ocean City Beach Patrol senior lieutenant, and Sher, a Ventnor Beach Patrol alumnus, also clinched the Brennan McCann points title for five races this season. One race is left Sept. 8.

Wayne MacMurray, a Upper Township lifeguard, and Bill Kindle, a Wildwood alumnus, were second in the race in 1:02.45. Longport's Brian Duffey and Tom Kresz were third in 1:04.07.

MacMurray and Kindle clinched second place in points, and the alumni crew of Jim Swift (Margate) and Scott Jones (Ventnor) clinched third.
