Dan Allen struck out eight in a complete-game win as Absecon edged Northfield 3-2 in an Atlantic County Baseball League game Monday night.
Ken Morgenweck walked with the bases loaded in the seventh to force in the winning run as Absecon im-proved to 6-3.
Kurt Lowenstein scored two runs, stole two bases, had a walk and was hit by a pitch.
Jim Hanson and Kolya Stephenson had two hits apiece for Northfield (3-4).
Wildwood 11, Hammonton 0: Wildwood’s Joe Couch (3-1) pitched a five-inning shutout, striking out seven. Couch gave up three hits and walked three.
Mike Mulligan was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a double and Curtis Gift was 3-for 3-with two RBIs. Wildwood won its fourth straight and improved to 6-1.
Steve Struble doubled for Hammonton (4-6).
Margate 2, Egg Harbor City 0: Pat Goodwin had four hits as the Hurricanes moved to 7-0.
Winning pitcher Lou Pepper went the distance (4-0), giving up five hits and striking out eight. Both of Margate’s runs came in the sixth when Dave Housel hit an RBI single and Dan Coia drove in a run on a fielder’s choice.
Goodwin singled and Magic Mears doubled to set up the scoring.
For Egg Harbor City (4-4), Cody Stashak doubled.
