Clancy’s Pub Pride beat Tri-State Threat 6-3 in nine innings Monday in the second game at the 46th annual Bridgeton Invitational Base-ball Tournament at Alden Field in Bridgeton.
Clancy’s scored three runs in the top of the ninth. Corey Downham doubled in the go-ahead run and Nick Fiola hit a sacrifice fly that made it 5-3. Don Menzoni followed with an RBI single.
Ryan Coyle was the winning pitcher going six innings.
Art Worton doubled for Tri-State.
Garton’s Rigging 3, Max’s Baseball 1: Garton’s Rigging pitcher Mike Dickens took a one-hitter into the sixth inning of the first game.
Sean Olson had two hits and a stolen base for Garton Riggins, and Efran Fernandez had a double. Chris Bell added an RBI for the winners. For Max’s, Andrew Lawrence hit a solo homer in the sixth inning.
The Bridgeton All-Stars will play an exhibition women’s softball game at 6:30 p.m. today against the Philadelphia Phillies Ball Girls.
At 8:15 p.m., Lobascio Concrete Pavers baseball team plays Camden Reds.
