Cumberland County lost to Indiana 11-2 in its final game at the Big League Baseball World Series in Easley, S.C., on Monday. Indiana, the Central representative, advanced to the U.S. semifinal today.

Indiana scored three runs in the first inning, added a run apiece in the second and third innings, and scored four more in the fifth to make it 9-1.

For Cumberland County, Kenny Dunns had two hits, while Vaughn Watson and Justin Geri each had a hit and a run. Daron Moore (two stolen bases) and Elijah Carter each had an RBI. Anthony Lopez was 1-for-3 and finished the tournament with .571 average.

The tournament’s international and U.S. semifinals are today, and the championship game is at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
