Somers Point defeated Brigantine 7-3 in an 11-12-year-old District 16 Little League baseball game Thursday.
Tyler Roffi went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Cornelius Brozelle was 2-for-3 with a run to lead Somers Point. Kobe Roberts picked up the win, pitching 42/3 innings and allowing one hit.
Nick Mossella led Brigantine with two hits.
Somers Point next plays Northfield at 7 p.m. Saturday in Linwood.
Northfield 22, Lower Cape May 2: Nick Atohi hit three home runs and had eight RBIs to propel Northfield’s offense. Atohi, Chris Foley and Pat Turner each homered in the fifth inning to break open the game. Foley, Sean Summers and Joe Bonczek had three hits apiece.
Margate 10, Ocean City 0: Billy Kral struck out seven and allowed one hit in four shutout innings for Margate. Jake Hankinson had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs. Kral, Nick West and Blane Rossell each doubled for Margate.
Linwood 13, Middle Township 1: The game was played in Brigantine and Linwood will now play Margate in Hammonton on Monday at 7 p.m.
Hammonton 10, Absecon 0: Matt Angeline pitched a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in five innings in the win.
Ryan Stansbury hit a three-run home run for Hammonton and Joe Giannini added a two-run shot. Ray Triboletti added two hits. Hammonton next hosts Ventnor on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Greater Wildwood 6, Ventnor 4: Mike Sharkey pitched a complete game to pick up the win for Wildwood. Will Helm, Tyler Johnson, TJ Hunt and Chris Johnson each had RBIs.
District 16 9-10 baseball
Linwood 24, Middle Township 8: The game went four innings due to the 10-run rule. Linwood will play at 5:30 p.m. today in Ocean City against the winner of Cape May County vs. Greater Wildwood.

Cape May County 12, Greater Wildwood 11: Cape May County’s Lacey Abrego was 2-for-3, including the game-winning single, and had three RBIs. Kelsey Morrow was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Cape May County will play Upper Township at 7 p.m. Saturday in Hammonton.
Hammonton 25, Upper Township 4: Hammonton advanced to the district final at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with the win in a game that went four innings. Sara Perretti pitched four innings, struck out four and had four hits.
For Upper Township, Savannah Holt singled.
Hammonton will face the winner of Saturday’s losers’ bracket game between Upper Township and Cape May County.

Atlantic Shore 17, Washington Township 7: Winning pitcher Mike Courter also went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Dom Boselli, Marty Cortelessa and Cornelius Masterson added two hits and two RBIs apiece.
Atlantic Shore 13, Pennsville 7: Mike Courter his three doubles and drove in four runs. Dom Fiorentino pitched four innings to pick up the win. Atlantic Shore will Millville at 5:30 p.m. today in a tournament semifinal.
