Somers Point stays alive in District 16 softball tournament From Press staff reports The Press of Atlantic City Media Group

Shannon Bennett threw a one-hitter for Somers Point in a 16-0 win over host Lower Cape May in a District 16 Little League losers’ bracket softball game for 11-12-year-olds on Thursday.

Bennett allowed no walks in four innings. Emmalee Poserina took the loss for Lower.

Nicole Pancari and Gab Monzo had big hits for Somers Point.

District 3 scores (From Wednesday):

West Cumberland 19, Pennsville 4 (31/2 innings)
