Susquehanna Assault beat Loboscio's Pavers 8-3 in the Bridgeton Invitational Baseball Tournament playoff quarterfinals on Wednesday at Alden Field.

Justin Quinn led Susquehanna with a grand slam that made it 4-0 in the first inning.

Also for the winners, Cody Holliday went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and three runs, and Grant Morlock was 2-for-2. Assault starter Greg Perry was relieved by Jason Seitler in the fourth inning. For Loboscio's Mike Eliasen had a hit and a run.

Garton's Rigging 4. Cecil County (Md.) Braves 3: Garton's scored its third run in the fourth inning and the winning error in the fifth inning both on throwing errors.

Mike Mathias was 1-for-3 with a run for Garton's, and Sean Olson and Paul Earl also scored for the winners.

Russ Gilliam pitched five innings for Garton's and Ryan Farabello came on in the sixth inning to get the save.

Mike Jerminski doubled for Cecil County, the 2011 Bridgeton Tournament champion.

The tournament semifinals are today. Susquehanna Assault plays Seabrook Storm at 6:30 p.m. Gartons' Rigging meets Camden Reds at 8:15 p.m.
