West Cumberland defeated Canada 15-2 in the third round of pool play in the Senior League Softball World Series in Roxana, Del., on Tuesday.

West Cumberland, the East representative, scored nine runs in the third inning and six in the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.

Danielle Lugo had two hits and two runs scored. Emily Pettit scored three runs, two in the third. Brooke Coleman had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. Shayla Loud pitched two no-hit innings to earn the win.

West Cumberland will play the West representative Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Senior League baseball (from Monday): South Vine-land fell 2-0 to Naamans, Del., in the Eastern Regional Tournament in West Dept-ford on Monday.

Cameron Lopez, Roberto Rivera and Ivan Rivera each had one hit for South Vineland. Johnny Malatesta pitched a complete game, allowed five hits and struck out five in the loss.
