Friday: Went 0 for 1 as a pinch hitter in the Padres’ 10-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Saturday: The teams will play at 10:10 p.m. Left-hander Robbie Ray (2-3, 4.57) is scheduled to start for the Diamondbacks. Szczur has not faced him.

Stats: Szczur is hitting .233 (10 for 43) with one home run, four runs scored and six RBIs in 24 games.
