Mike Trout, 25, a center fielder with the Los Angeles Angels and a 2009 Millville High School graduate, was the 2014 and 2016 American League Most Valuable Player.

Wednesday: Went 2 for 4 in a 5-1 loss to the Astros in Houston. He batted second and played center field.

Thursday: Went 1 for 4 with a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning in a 2-1 loss to the Astros. He batted third and played center.

Friday: The Angels will open a series at home against Toronto at 10:07 p.m. Mat Latos will start for the Blue Jays. Trout is hitting .125 (1 for 8) with no home runs or RBIs against him.

Stats: Trout is hitting .333 (20 for 60) with four home runs, 12 RBIs, eight runs scored and three stolen bases in 17 games. His OPS is 1.064.
