LHP Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is scheduled to start tonight for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) at Quad Cities in the Class-A Midwest League. DeCecco is 5-6 with a 4.27 ERA in 15 starts. In a team-high 78 innings, he has struck out 52 and walked 31.

RHP A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is 4-4 with a 4.37 ERA in 15 appearances, all starts, for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League game. Despite going only two innings Sunday because of a rain delay, Holland ranks second on the team with 821/3 innings pitched. He has struck out 53 and walked 38. His next start has not yet been announced.

OF Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) and the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) played Montgomery in a double-A Southern League game that ended too late. Szczur was hitting .298 with 44 runs scored, 36 RBIs and 17 stolen bases on 25 attempts in 74 games through Sunday.

OF Darren Ford (Vineland) and the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) played Louisville in a triple-A International League game that ended too late. Ford was hitting .220 with 17 runs scored, 11 RBIs and 16 stolen bases on 21 attempts in 43 games through Sunday.

LHP Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) and the Princeton Rays (Tampa Bay) played Johnson City in a rookie-level Appalachian League game that ended too late. Fischer was 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in three relief appearances through Sunday.
