RHP A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) allowed two runs in 62/3 innings for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) in a 3-2 win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Royals) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League on Saturday. Holland allowed seven hits, struck out three and walked one but got a no-decision. He is 2-1 with a 3.24 ERA, 25 strikeouts and 12 walks in 231/3 innings over six starts.

OF Darren Ford (Vineland) went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, his first of the season, for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 3-2, 13-inning loss to Lehigh Valley in the triple-A International League. He was caught stealing by Phillies catching prospect Tommy Joseph. Ford is hitting .271 with two triples, 10 runs scored, seven RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 21 games.

OF Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-4 as the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) lost 8-0 to Mississippi in the double-A Southern League. Szczur is hitting .257 with two homers, 20 runs scored, 12 RBIs and eight stolen bases in 27 games.

LHP Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 2-3 with a 3.21 ERA and 23 strikeouts and nine walks in 28 innings through five starts for the Clinton LumberKings (Seattle) in the Class-A Midwest League. His next start has not been announced.
