Matt Szczur, 28, is a 2007 Lower Cape May Regional High School graduate from Lower Township. He earned a World Series title ring with the 2016 Cubs and was traded May 8 to the San Diego Padres.

Saturday: The series continues with an 8:40 p.m. game. Left-hander Tyler Anderson (4-5, 5.76) is scheduled to for the Rockies. Szczur is 0 for 3 against him.

Stats: Szczur began Saturday hitting .223 (40 for 178) with three home runs, 25 runs scored and 18 RBIs in 107 games.
