Thursday: Went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts in a 7-1 loss to Tampa Bay in the opener of a four-game series. He led off and played center field.

Friday: The Angels will face Tampa Bay’s Blake Snell (4-3, 3.12 ERA) in a 10:07 p.m. game. Trout is 0 for 2 against him in his career.

Stats: Trout is hitting .290 (45 for 155) with 12 home runs, 25 RBIs and 34 runs in 44 games. His on-base percentage is .431, his OPS 1.031. He also has stolen eight bases on eight tries. ... The Angels are 25-19.
