Mike Trout of Millville is a rookie outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels. Trout, 20, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was The Press Player of the Year that season.

Sunday: Trout sat out a 2-0 loss to Tampa Bay due to a left-knee contusion that he suffered while running into the wall trying to catch a Ben Zobrist homer Saturday against the Rays. The Angels listed Trout as day-to-day and said he is not likely to have an MRI or X-rays. This was the first game he missed since May 7.
