OCEAN CITY — With their Premier Development League playoff hopes squashed days earlier, the Ocean City Nor’easters soccer team turned its thoughts to qualification for next year’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup ahead of Wednesday night’s game against Lehigh Valley (Pa.) United at Carey Stadium.

OCEAN CITY — The first-place New York Red Bulls U23s men’s soccer team came to Carey Stadium on Sunday, and the skilled team from Hudson County looked like a winner most of way against the Ocean City Nor’easters.

The Ocean City Nor’easters men’s soccer team lost to arch-rival Reading United AC 2-0 on Thursday in Fair Lawn, Pennsylvania in a game with big playoff implications. Forward Khori Bennett scored both goals for Reading.

Fredlin Mompremier scored both goals to lead the Ocean City Nor’easters soccer team to a 2-1 win over the host Evergreen FC Hammers on Saturday in Leesburg, Virginia. Al the scoring was in the first half.

The Ocean City Nor’easters blanked the Jersey Express 2-0 on Wednesday in Elizabeth, Union County, in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League game.

The Ocean City Nor’easters lost to rival Reading United AC 1-0 on a late goal on Friday in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League game in Reading, Pennsylvania.
