Crusaders defeat Buxmont Torch 3-2

The AC Crusaders defeated the Buxmont Torch 3-2 in a National Premier Soccer League game Wednesday at Pennridge (Pa.) High School.

The Crusaders gave up an own goal 10 seconds into the game. Jason Speaker scored the equalizer 30 seconds before the end of the first half for the Crusaders.

Adam Sternberger, an Ocean City High School graduate, scored the second goal for the Crusaders to put them up by one. Buxmont rallied back to score a tying goal but Billy Swetra (Absegami) netted the winning goal.

The Crusaders (2-2) will play the Pocono Snow on Saturday at 7 p.m. at East Stroudsburg University.

Goals—Speaker, Sternberger, Sweatra C; own goal, Nino B.

Goalies—Richard Ongaro and Paul Erbacher C; Folks B.
