Nor'easters move into first in division with win

The Ocean City Nor'easters soccer team beat the Long Island Rough Riders 2-1 Wednesday in South Huntington, N.Y., and took over first place in the USL Premier Development League's Mid-Atlantic Division.

Emmanuel Kollie and Zoncher Dennis scored for Ocean City, which improved to 9-2.

Dennis won it with a goal in the 47th minute that broke a 1-1 tie. Terry Gibbs assisted.

Keith Detelj opened the scoring for Long Island (5-4-2) in the 39th minute with a header.

Kollie tied it for the Nor'easters in the 44th minute with a blast from 35 yards out that went off the right post.

Nor'easters goalie John McCarthy had four saves in the victory.
