The Ocean City Nor'easters moved into sole possession of second place in the Premier Development League Eastern Conference's Mid Atlantic Division with a 3-1 win Wednesday over the Brooklyn Knights in New York.

Markus Lacroix opened the scoring for the Nor'easters with a goal on a tip from Max Hamilton about eight minutes into the game to give Ocean City a 1-0 lead at the half.

Jason Plumhoff made it 2-0 in the second half on a breakaway goal and Terry Gibbs scored on a penalty kick with about five minutes left in the game.

The Knights scored their lone goal on a penalty kick after a red card was given to Ocean City goalie John McCarthy in injury time.

The Nor'easters improved to 7-2 with 21 points. They will travel to the last place Westchester Flames at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
