The South Jersey Public B swimming championships have been moved up a day.

The Mainland Regional High School boys team and the Ocean City High School girls team will both swim their South Jersey final meets Wednesday at Gloucester County Institute of Technology in Deptford Township.

The top-seeded Mainland boys, ranked fifth in The Press Elite 11, meet third-seeded Moorestown, No. 3 in the Elite 11, at 3 p.m.

The Ocean City girls, the top-ranked team in the Elite 11, meet top-seeded Haddonfield, the Elite 11s fifth-ranked team, at 4:30 p.m.

The meets were originally scheduled for Thursday, but were moved up to avoid possible postponements from a forecasted snowstorm.

The Mainland boys program won a state Public B title in 2003 and won South Jersey Public B in 2010 and 2011. The Mustangs are led by Nolan Coyle, Brandon Truong, Brian McGroarty, Paul Berges and Derek Kneisel.

The Ocean City girls team is seeking the program's first South Jersey title. The Red Raiders feature Noel Styer, sisters Rachel Chain and Aly Chain, Amanda Nunan, Amber Glenn and Gabby Breazeale.
