Rutgers-Newark freshman Matt Broomall, a Mainland Regional High School graduate, was selected as the NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year on Wednesday.

A two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week selection and a Week 5 NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honoree, he currently leads the NJAC in both saves (83) and shutouts (8). Against NJAC competition, Broomall garnered a league-leading 56 saves in nine NJAC matches played.

Richard Stockton junior forward Chris Katona was also named to the first-team.

Stockton freshman back Clevon McPherson was picked for the second team. Also, Rutgers-Camden junior forward Mitch Grotti (Millville) and sophomore midfielder Joe Auleta (Hammonton) were selected. Rowan senior goalie Michael Fanz-Huster (Hammonton) was also named to the second team.
