The Mustangs used an ineligible transfer player, according to Bob Baly, assistant director of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.

Baly declined to reveal specifics of the case. A hearing on the matter was held Wednesday at NJSIAA offices in Robbinsville.

Mainland officials could not be reached for comment.

The move shakes up the South Jersey Group IV power ratings.

The forfeits mean St. Augustine Prep, Ocean City, Absegami and Buena Regional each gain a win. The Mustangs fall from (4-3) to (0-7).
