The Margate Beach Patrol crew of Carl Smallwood Jr. and Bob Bechtel won the Upper Township Six-Mile Bay Row on Monday in Strathmere in Upper Township.

Smallwood, a Margate alumnus, and Bechtel, a current Margate lifeguard, finished in1 hour, 14 minutes, 42 seconds.

The crew of Wayne MacMurray and Bill Kindle was second in 1:16:01. MacMurray is an Upper Township lifeguard and Kindle is a Wildwood alumnus. Third was Wildwood Crest's Brendan Cunningham and Terry McGovern in 1:16:11. The crew of Ventnor alumnus Tom Sher and Longport lifeguard Tom Kresz finished fourth in 1:16:17.

Avalon's Erich Wolf and Craig Whitehead were fifth in 1:16:22. Wolf and Whitehead were unofficially second but were penalized 30 seconds for starting early.

The crew of Dylan Kosten, an Ocean City lifeguard, and Danielle Fournier, a Margate guard, were 15th overall and won the mixed doubles division in 1:19:47. Avalon's Karissa Clark and Madi Sehn won the women's division in 1:42:42.
